The extent and length of care you receive is always up to you. Detailed information will always be provided to enable you to better consider the options available to you.
Acute Care:
The initial goal is obvious: eliminate your pain and get you functioning again. This will often be accomplished within the first few visits, depending upon the extent and history of your condition.
Corrective Care:
When the pain is eliminated or significantly reduced, the focus will shift to correcting the distortions found in your body. Muscles and ligaments, which are soft tissue, often need treatment to reverse years of dysfunction and distortion. What we call corrective care focuses on making more permanent corrections to your body. The benefits of corrective care are numerous. The treatment will retrain and restore muscle, ligaments and spinal segments to their optimal condition. Your body will be stronger, more stable and more flexible, resulting in an improved state of function. Many patients report better sleep, more energy and improved management of stress. Your nervous system will run at maximum efficiency, enhancing the function of every system in your body. A more detailed explanation can be found in the Nervous System.
Maintenance Care:
Once you have achieved the maximum level of correction and stability, many patients choose to maintain their health with occasional check-ups. The benefits of maintenance care include preventing a possibility of a relapse, slowing down the natural process of aging and degeneration, and enhancing your mental and physical performance and overall health.
Again, the extent of your treatment is always your decision. I will provide the level of care you choose. |
